Questions & Answers
Everything You'd Ask
Before Starting.
No sales language. Timelines, pricing, revisions, formats and how the work actually runs — answered the way we'd answer them on a call.
01 What exactly does Octarine Studio do?
We are a 3D architectural visualization studio. We take your drawings — CAD, plans, elevations, sketches — and turn them into photorealistic still renders, walkthrough animations and complete visual sets that let people understand and buy into a project before it is built.
02 What do you need from me to start?
At minimum: floor plans and elevations, and a sense of who the visuals are for. Anything else helps — 3D files, material specs, reference images, site photographs, the brand. If you only have hand sketches, that is still a workable starting point; we will tell you honestly what is missing.
03 How long does a render take?
A single interior or exterior still is typically 4–7 working days from a complete brief. A set of 6–10 frames usually runs 2–3 weeks. Walkthrough animation depends on length and complexity — we quote it per project. Rush timelines are possible; tell us the deadline up front rather than after we start.
04 How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on scope — number of frames, level of detail, interior versus exterior, and whether animation is involved. We quote per project after seeing the drawings, so the number reflects your project rather than an average. Send us the plans and you will have a figure quickly.
05 How many revisions do I get?
Two structured rounds are included in every project. The first is at the clay or white-model stage, where changes are cheap — camera angle, composition, geometry. The second is after lighting and materials. Revisions requested after final approval are billed separately, which is why we push hard to get the early rounds right.
06 Will the render match what actually gets built?
That is the whole point. We model from your drawings rather than approximating, so proportions, sightlines and material behaviour are true. A render that flatters beyond the drawings is a liability the day a buyer walks into the show unit — we will tell you if something in the brief would cross that line.
07 What file formats do I get?
High-resolution JPEG and PNG as standard, print-ready TIFF on request, and animation delivered as MP4 or MOV. We also supply the crops and aspect ratios you actually need — hoarding, brochure, portal listing, Instagram — rather than one master file you have to cut up yourself.
08 What software do you use?
Autodesk 3ds Max with Corona Renderer for the heavy lifting, and Adobe Photoshop for post. We read files out of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and Rhino — send whatever you have.
09 Do you work with clients outside Mumbai?
Yes. The studio is in Mumbai, and we have delivered projects across India and internationally — Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Sweden and Finland among them. The entire process runs remotely: files, review calls and shared reference boards.
10 Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, routinely. Pre-launch projects are confidential by default and we will not show work publicly until you clear it. If your project needs to stay off our portfolio permanently, say so and it stays off.
11 Do you do interiors as well as exteriors?
Both, plus amenity spaces, masterplans, aerials and product or furniture visuals. Most of our projects involve more than one of these, which is part of why clients keep the whole set with one studio.
12 How do we start?
Send the drawings and a short note about the project to info@octarinestudio.com, or message us on WhatsApp. We will come back within one working day with questions, a timeline and a quote.
Still unsure?
Send the drawings. We'll tell you what's possible.
